Costa Mesa, Calif., Oct. 20, 2026 — Experian, the global data and technology company, today announced its acquisition of eInsights, a healthcare technology company that helps healthcare providers find patient insurance coverage that may have been missed or unavailable when a patient received care. The acquisition expands Experian Health’s insurance discovery capabilities beyond the front end of the revenue cycle, giving providers another opportunity to identify coverage after patient care is delivered.
Together, Experian Health will be able to deliver an end-to-end solution that enables healthcare organizations to recover reimbursement they may otherwise have missed, reduce uncompensated care and spare patients from being billed for care that should have been covered by insurance.
A Complex Insurance and Benefits Landscape
Identifying a patient’s insurance coverage at registration is critical, but it doesn’t always tell the whole story. Coverage can change, become active or only become discoverable after care has been delivered. When that happens, providers can miss reimbursement they are entitled to – and patients can receive bills for care that should have been covered.
That challenge is becoming even more important as providers navigate continued changes in insurance coverage and Medicaid eligibility. Most notably, coverage shifts are expected to grow when the One Big Beautiful Bill Act takes effect January 1, 2027, increasing the frequency of Medicaid eligibility redeterminations.
“Finding insurance coverage shouldn’t be a one-time event,” said Jason Considine, President of Experian Health. “A patient’s coverage can change or become discoverable after care is delivered, and when that happens, providers can miss reimbursement and patients can end up with bills they shouldn’t have received. Bringing eInsights into Experian Health gives our clients another opportunity to find that coverage – from the beginning of the patient journey through the back end of the revenue cycle. As rising costs, regulatory pressures, and operational complexity continue to squeeze margins, healthcare providers can’t afford revenue leakage. Capturing every dollar they are owed helps ensure the financial stability they need to continue delivering exceptional care for their patients.”
A Comprehensive, End-to-End Insurance Discovery Solution
As part of their overall post-service insurance discovery solution, eInsights, a top 20 pick for Emerging Solutions by KLAS in 2025, offers retroactive Medicaid identification, secondary coverage identification, coordination of benefits optimization, past timely filing denial prevention, and Disproportionate Share Hospital reporting. The company has helped their client organizations recover more than $225 million in reimbursement and saved patients from erroneous billing.
“eInsights was built around a simple idea: providers should have every opportunity to find valid insurance coverage, even after care has been delivered,” said John Wester, Executive Chairman and Founder/CEO of eInsights. “Joining Experian Health allows us to bring that capability to more healthcare organizations and connect insurance discovery across the revenue cycle. That means less manual work for staff, more reimbursement for providers and fewer unexpected bills for patients.”
